The interest of foreign investors from the Gulf region to the Eastern Black Sea continues to increase. Investors from Arab countries, which have invested heavily in real estate in Ordu, Giresun and Rize, in particular in Trabzon, increased their purchases in 2018.
In 2017, Ordu city acquired 34 investors from the Gulf countries and increased by almost 100 percent last year to 66 investors. In 2018, the total size of real estate such as land and housing that the Arab investors received from Ordu was 82 thousand square meters. Of the 66 foreign investors who invested in Ordu city last year, 37 were citizens of Saudi Arabia.
Fatsa stands out in districts. Fatsa, which has a population of approximately 120 thousand and is approximately 39 kilometers away from the city center of Ordu, last year, 26 Saudi Arabians bought a total of 60 thousand square meters.
