Tiny Houses, which were very popular especially in the USA during the 2008 global financial recession triggered by the housing (mortgage) crisis, started to become quite common in Turkey during the pandemic process.
Tiny House producers, which offer an alternative life style option to people, will come together in Istanbul for the first time in our country. In this context, the ‘Premo Fair’, which will be held at the Istanbul Expo Center between February 3-5, will bring together manufacturers, practitioners, designers and professionals on an international platform.
Stating that the construction industry is one of the areas most affected by the epidemic and pointing out that the balances have changed all over the world with the pandemic, Tureks International Fairs General Manager Nergis Aslan said the following about the ‘Premo Fair’ to be held at the Istanbul Expo Center:
“The prefabricated Kovid-19 process, which has been providing many areas of use from living spaces to workplaces, from hospitals to factories in many parts of the world for years, has also caused the industry to evolve in another direction. Changing people’s perspectives also plays a key role here. Buildings that provide advantages in many aspects are also very popular due to economic developments. Based on this, we rolled up our sleeves so that both the industry and the consumers could meet on one platform. Our goal is to organize a meeting that will bring a new breath to the fair organization with 20 thousand visitors from many professional groups, from participating companies and architects to contractors, from public institutions and organizations to international buyers, from different geographies, where the pulse of the industry will beat.
In this process, Turkey has become the production base of the west with its producer identity and strategic geographical location. This situation caused the foreign purchasing committees to turn their direction to Turkey, and the interest of foreign visitors to the fairs increased at a record level. While there was an export boom in many sectors, intense activity started in the sectors that were affected by the pandemic and opened later. One of these areas is fairs. Hectic days await us, as in previous years. There is a great interest in the Turkish market.”
